Ragnar Horn, Chairman of the Board
Ragnar Horn (b. 1961) has been the Chairman of the Board since 1999. Mr. Horn is an investor with various financial interests and board memberships in shipping, real estate and media. Amongst others, he is Chairman of Dyvi Holding and board member of Viking Global Equities, Eiendomsspar, Victoria Eiendom and Berner Gruppen. Birger Nergaard, Board member
Birger Nergaard (b. 1951) has been the Deputy Chairman of the board since 2008. Mr. Nergaard was the Founder of Four Seasons Venture AS (Verdane Capital) in 1985 and served as the company’s CEO until 2006. Today he is the Chairman of the board of Verdane Capital III as well as Verdane Capital V, VI, VII. He is a board member of RS Platou Markets AS, The hedge fund SIH AS, Chairman of the Council of Treschow – Fritzøe and member of the Nomination Committee of Stepstone ASA. He has previously been a board member of several public companies, among them Stepstone ASA and Agresso ASA. Mr. Nergaard holds a law degree from the University of Oslo (1977). Marianne Lie, Board member
Marianne Lie (b. 1962) has been board member since 2008. Mrs. Lie was previously the CEO of Norwegian Shipowners’ Association. Prior experience includes CEO of Helsevakten Telemed AS and Vattenfall Norge AS. Marianne Aamodt, Board member
Marianne Aamodt (b. 1966) has been board member since 2002. Mrs. Aamodt is Senior Partner and Offshore broker in the Supply department of RS Platou. She started her career as a trainee in the offshore department in 1990 and has worked with the company since. She has been a key player in developing and expanding the offshore support vessel group. Mrs. Aamodt has prior experience from Aker Engineering AS in the Structural Engineering department and on the Snorre Field Development. Mrs. Aamodt is Norwegian citizen, and resides in Bærum, Norway.
Gustave Brun-Lie, Board member
Gustave Brun-Lie (b. 1953) was elected board member in 2010. He is a Senior Partner and was until elected as a board member, head of RS Platou’s newbuilding group, a position he held for more than 20 years. Gustave Brun-Lie has worked with RS Platou since 1982. Mr. Brun-Lie graduated from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy in 1977. He is Norwegian citizen and resides in Oslo, Norway.
Carl Erik Steen, Board member
Carl Erik Steen (b. 1951) was elected board member in 2011. Mr. Steen has working experience from Nordea Bank where he held various positions from 1983 to 2011. In the last period of employment with Nordea, Mr. Steen was the Head of Shipping, Oil Services and International Division. Merete Haugli, Board member
Merete Haugli (b. 1964) was elected board member in 2011. Haugli was one of the founders of First Securities and has worked as Head of private banking with SEB, in addition to being a former board member of ABG Sundal Collier ASA. In addition, she has also held the position as assistant chief of police in Oslo Police district for economic and environmental crime for five years. Haugli is a Norwegian citizen and resides in Oslo, Norway.
