RS Platou LLP commenced trading at temporary offices on 1 June 2009 and then became established at its new offices at 80 Cheapside,London in late August.
It is a partnership , owned 51% by RS Platou ASA and 49% by the local management team led by Richard Fulford-Smith.
The team will combine experience with youth and enthusiasm , which with the skills and resources available gives a strong platform to launch our services to an expanded global client portfolio. Initially we shall focus on

our shipbuilder and ship owner relationships - sale and purchase and advisory work including exploitation of our specialist LNG and container market knowledge .

We shall add Financial Services and enhance the group business plan which is focused on integrating the heritage shipbroking business with the expanded RS Platou Markets business model .
With a clean slate Platou LLP finds itself uniquely positioned to provide a fresh and innovative service its clients. The financial crisis and global recession has contributed to a uniquely challenging environment for ship owners, shipbuilders and bankers alike. Our role is to provide that community with sound, independent and objective advice , enabling our clients to navigate through the current difficulties but also to identify and capitalise upon the opportunities that will inevitably arise.
